Product Manager, Bean
Location: Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

The primary
responsibilities for this position, based out of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, include, but are not limited to:

Manage the global
product portfolio for Bean in regard to new product development, new
varieties, and new seed product forms.

Manage, with the
Breeder, new varieties prior to introduction in the development
product portfolio.

Optimize turnover and
margin of managed products through supply chain expectations, sales
potential evaluation, and pricing.

Manage new product
introductions in accordance with the strengths and weaknesses of
existing product range, market potential, and pressure from
competition.

Technical expertise
for product line, providing sales with technical data needed to
support optimal product performance.

Manage the seed
quantity needs for varieties under development, with the involvement
of Sales Managers, for early forecasts on pre-commercial varieties.

Analyze market data in
order to evaluate the main targets, and to anticipate major market
changes. Calculate market shares.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum: B.S. degree
in Agronomy or Agricultural Engineering/Science required.

3 - 5 years experience
in breeding, seed development, seed sales or vegetable production.

Knowledge of Microsoft
Office programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to travel on a
regular basis, domestically as well as internationally.
Skills required:

Knowledge of breeding,
seed development, or vegetable production.

Product management
experience. Ability to plan actions and analyze results.

Requires excellent
written, oral, communication and leadership skills.

Self-motivated, with a
high level of time management, creativity and organizational skill.

Team player with a
positive attitude. Ability to lead as well as collaborate.
