Sales Representative III
Location: South Florida
Primary
responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage customers
within territory (South Florida market)
-
Achieve sales budgets
-
Provide customers with
product information
-
Establish variety
trials on growers’ farms to determine the adaptability of Harris
Moran genetics versus competitive varieties
-
Complete on farm
product trials to introduce new products
-
Maintain a high level
of knowledge regarding market trends and customer needs
-
Forecast product needs
for a three-year period
-
Maintain a high level
of communication with customers and Harris Moran associates
-
Manage expenses within
budget
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor degree
-
Minimum of five years
experience in the agricultural industry
-
Vegetable product
knowledge for the major species (tomato, pepper, beans, cucurbits)
-
Technical expertise in
key vegetable pest and management practices
-
Knowledge of trial
completion and product evaluations
Skills:
-
Sales and customer
management skills
-
Computer skills (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Strong verbal and
written communication skills
-
Good interpersonal
skills
-
Ability to complete
accurate monthly reports and expense reports on a timely basis
-
Self-starter and
ability to work in a less than structured environment
-
Home office required
and in-field work as necessary
-
Ability to travel in a
company provided vehicle to visit customers and field trials. May
require 2 to 3 trips a year outside of territory. Some overnight
stays and possibly one international trip per year may be required.

Physical demands
include on farm trial planning, bending, standing and trial
evaluations in hot and cold conditions. Will also include visiting
grower’s fields to evaluate and observe HMSC varieties.

Work environment
includes outdoor weather experienced in south Florida, which can be
hot and humid
